What Does it Take to Write SEO Centered Articles

Saturday, June 11th, 2011

Article marketing is one of the most successful methods for getting specific traffic to your website or blog. However, simply crafting an article and publishing on the internet will do you no good.

You will have to focus on creating articles that actually get traffic from the search engines. It cannot be denied that the search engines are great for obtaining the attention that you need for your website. However, when you intertwine both article marketing and SEO, the outcome will take your breath away. There are numerous article marketers that have been obtaining constant results just by getting their articles ranked by the search engines for specific keywords.

Play around With Keyword Phrases: Take the time to find 20 or 30 solid keyword phrases for your articles and rotate them between articles. You can try to come up with interesting and easy to understand article ideas and see how you can incorporate one of these phrases in the title. You’re going to have to play around with SEO a bit before you can truly appreciate and understand the science behind it. This is how you learn; you will make mistakes and there will be times when you won’t see any results, but that’s exactly why you should put your focus on using various keywords. Leverage Your Resource Box: When you’re submitting your article to an article directly, you should make the most out of your resource box; optimize it effectively by including your main keywords in it. People know what your articles are about based on your keywords. While it isn’t vital that you include long tail keywords in the resource box you do need to include keywords that let readers know the general topic at hand. Since you can include pretty much whatever you want (within reason of course) in your resource box, you are much better served by including something that will not only entice readers to visit your site but to also get the attention of all the search engine spiders.

Weave In Your Keyword in the Title Effectively: This is because utilizing too many keywords in the title will confuse the search engine spiders and cause them not to be aware of your primary keyword. At the most, do not use more than two keywords in your title. Also, when you’re writing your title keep the keyword in mind. You should make it short and simple. Do not opt for a long title. Because if you do, it won’t be fully visible in the search engines. This article isn’t just about how easy it is to write good SEO articles but also why it is so important for you to do. Let’s face it; when you’re putting in so much effort and hard work into writing an article then why not try to satisfy both your readers and the search engines? Taking the time to properly optimize for the search engines means that you’ll enjoy traffic from them for years to come. So go ahead, roll up your sleeves and work towards creating articles that are worth it.

Last but not least, it’s always a good exercise to look at your analytics data files and observe exactly where prospects are generally coming from. When you fully understand where your prospects are coming from, you can use a  keyword research application or the Google Ad Words Keyword Tool to uncover additional keywords and phrases corresponding to the keywords and phrases which are presently providing your current traffic and visitors.
